78th Anniversary of Daytona Beach Bike Week at Cacklebery Campground 2019


SAMSULA, FLA., Mar 8-18, 2019

Cacklebery Campground has once again set an attendance record this year,and what with the weather being so great we could haven't expected anything other than a great time for all. The entire Cacklebery Campground staff would like to thank all those who attended this years awesome Daytona Beach Bike Week 2019.



With that said, a priority news item must be put right here. One of our regular vendors has a niece, Sandra working for her. Sandra comes down every year from southern Illinois. While traveling to the event, she received a call from her husband.....a fire had destroyed their home and everything in it (happily the family dog survived). It turns out they had no insurance as it was a pre-fab home and the nearest fire department was about 10 miles away. Now for the good news, our resident MC, Taz of Twisted Karaoke, announced what had happened to her everyday and the final Friday there was a auction of items EVERY vendor had donated. As of the final Saturday of Bike Week, the total raised was over $4000.00, pretty much all from the generosity of all the bikers in attendance. Nuff said.



As I previously mentioned, there were attendance records set and that included many more vendors and a few entertainment activities....The Wall of Death, the Exscream Subduction girls, and the Dragon Babes Fire and Burlwsque Show. As usual we had the fantabulous International Bikine Team, our Daisy Duke Contests, and of course our now legendary Wet-t shirt contests. If you missed those your really need to attend Biketoberfest at Cacklebery. Oh, did I mention the ladies that were body painted this year.......all I can say is dammmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!



This year a few more food vendors were added which made it really difficult to decide where and what to eat, from ribs to italian to hawaiian to donuts and yes even to those drinksicles.........in all the 12 days I was there I didn't have to repaeat any meal unless I wanted to.



The musical entertainment throughout the event featured Donny's Big Daddy Band, Diesel, Stone Free Band, Straitjacket Smile, Twisted Mind, Spanks, and a few others.. Once again Emcee Taz kept the crowds going during the breaks between bands while all the tv's were showing previous recordings of past wet t-shirt and bikini contests at the same time. The second Friday night was an awesome night, with Twisted Minds just rocking the house down. I have to mention Straight Jacket Smile (https://www.facebook.com/straitjacketsmileband/) here as they closed it out on the final Saturday night tearing the big top down!!!


At Cacklebery Campground and RV Resort there is something for everybody and is NOW 'THE' place to be for Bikeweek and Biketoberfest, not to mention the Nascar races.
