2010 Toys In The Sun Run Photos


As many of you are aware, we had a major change in venue for the starting point this year. A big shout out to the Seminole Tribe of Florida for allowing us to use their Seminole Coconut Creek Casino parking lot at Sample Rd and Highway 441 (and for their huge monetary contribution!).
Considering a tight turn at the entrance of the Infiniti dealer and the u-turn that many coming from the other direction had to make, there were no reports of any one going down. UPDATE-There was one accident on I-95. There were no reported life threatening injuries. For those involved, get well soon.
My coverage of the event actually began on Thursday when I rode down from West Palm Beach to pick up my media passes from Debbie Amchir. Her and her posse(no, I didn't spell it wrong!) of girls do a fantastic job throughout the entire event. The first few photos are before most of anything was setup. Hopefully, next year I will be able to set up shop on premises and be able to catch all the 'pregame' action. Once again this year all the motorcycle clubs, organizations, and associations were present and worked the entire day unselfishly, assuring the day went smooth and without any glitches.
The entertainment on the stage was, as usual, top notch and rocked the crowd all day.
With all the sponsors and attendees, the day was once again a major success. A special thanks to my assistant, Kathy for taking some excellent photos. there will be a special section with what she was able to shoot until the battery went dead(my bad, had the extra battery on the bike) . This happened just as The Charlie Daniels Band was playing.
I am not sure what the size of the crowd was this year, but judging by the size of the crowd it was quite a bit larger than last year. One of the highlights of the day was when a few of the major financial donors doubled their contribution to help the children at Joe Dimaggio's Childrens Hospital.
