Leesburg Bikefest 2012 in Leesburg, FL

Leesburg, FL (APR 29, 2012) This is our first year for the Leesburg Bikefest and is will definitely not be our last. Think of 300,000 bikers in a 20 block radius, thats almost as many people that attend Daytona, yet is was not that crowded because of the wide areas of the Bikefest itself.

The entertainment was virtually nonstop with 3 different main stages, The Gator Harley Davidson Stage, The Budweiser Stage, and the Jagermeister Stage. They were place about a couple of blocks apart so they didn't interfere with each other, yet you didn't have to walk far to get from one to another.
On a little side note, I was allowed to get on the tour helicopter for some awesome video that will be posted throughout the week. But now, for the little side trip I took on the way back to the fest from the airport. I had to catch the local shuttle, not bad, well it took about an hour to get back to Downtown Leesburg, but the busride was actually awesome. I was able to see some of the surrounding towns without killing my feet or my gas. If you get tired feet, catch the bus to see some local flavor while riding in air conditioned comfort.
This event is more family friendly that most other events we attend, so don't hesitate to bring the entire family!
The Leesburg Bikefest is a not for profit event put on by The Leesburg Partnership, Inc. All the proceeds go towards benifiting the local community and various local non profit organzations along with helping out with other events throughout the year. I would like at this time to send out a big THANK YOU to Rachel Ryan and her staff for accomodating the CycleShotz staff with whatever we needed and allowing us to be a part of their awesome Media Center coverage.
