Bruce Rossmeyers Sunrise Harley Davidson Demo Day Feb 2010 Photos


Todays Harley dealerships have come a long way from when I first saw a Harley dealership in the late 1950's. Back then it was an old storefront on Gratiot Avenue in Roseville, MI. I can't remember the name but I think it was Demasters. There was no glitz, no mannequins, no fancy lighting. Just a couple of Harleys waiting on the floor for the next buyer.
If you have ever been to one of Bruce Rossmeyers dealerships, you are in for quite a visual experience. At the Sunrise store, there are more Harleys than some motorcycle events that I attend. That provides the potential buyer with so many choices, that special orders are few and far between. However, if you want that special Harley, you can special order pretty much whatever you want.
Todays crowd was quite diversified, as I saw everthing from an old Norton to a few Honda Goldwings, and about everything in between.
As far as the demo rides went, they were busy all day long. As long as you were 18 years old, had a valid MC drivers license, a DOT helmet, and boots with a heel strap, you were ready to ride.
The many vendors on hand also added to the party atmosphere. From motorcycle rentals, motorcycle trailers, t-shirts, and even a booth from the Broward Humane society, it provided more to do than just show up for a free ride.
As usual, the food was good (and free, but a donation was asked for.)
